Richville Rundown
Sheila Ward
I hope all the mothers had a great Mother’s Day; I did. My three daughters and their husbands, along with some of the grands and great-grands, attended church with me, then almost all of my family came to eat lunch or visit. So sorry one of my grandsons and his family were home sick; we missed you.

Don’t forget to make plans to attend the Rockford Spring Fling at the Park on May 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will have vendors, food trucks, music, and inflatable water slide for the kids. It will be located around Jackson Street and Nixburg Road at the Rockford Playground.
The Coosa County Historical Society is seeking donations to purchase the necessary equipment to digitize all our records, newsletters, etc. Donations may be mailed to Coosa County Historical Society; P.O. Box 5; Rockford, AL 35136. This will prevent the loss of these records, as well as make them easily searched. Once they are all digitized, we plan to have a website so they will be searchable online. All donations are tax deductible.
This week my Bible verses are about blessings. Matthew 6:30-33 reads, “But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘what shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
What a wonderful promise! If we only trust in God, He will provide all we need.
Be in prayer for all those that are sick in our community. But also, think about giving someone a call just to say hello; it will make a difference in their day. Many times, when we go out to spread blessings to others, it’s us that gets the blessing.
