The students of Central Elementary School and Central High School have been busy learning about the
importance of soil.
They created posters for the Coosa County Conservation District’s annual poster contest. This year’s
theme was “Soil. Where It All Begins.”
The posters were outstanding. We are thankful to Janice Kilgore at the Conservation office for all of
her hard work organizing this wonderful event each year.
First place winners in each participating grade level received $50. Second place winners received $40.
Third place winners received $30.
Thank you to Coosa County Schools science coach Shelley Wood for coordinating the contest between
the Coosa County Conservation District and the teachers who inspire our students.
