Child nutrition staff and students celebrated National School Breakfast Week with Built by School Breakfast, Wake up Wednesday – Hats On for School Breakfast. According to the Alabama School Nutrition Association, the campaign aims to “highlight the critical role school breakfast plays in student success.”
Our child nutrition staff went above and beyond and made the event fun by purchasing construction hats for students, but we would like to recognize the hard work the staff does everyday preparing and serving 500 breakfast meals, 650 lunch meals, and 100 after-school meals. All of which are healthy, nutritious and tasty meals for our students, while following strict guidelines.

Thank you to Child Nutrition Director Deborah Abrams for organizing and promoting the special event that put extra big smiles on everyone’s faces.
