Union Square News
Ruby Johnson

My precious great-granddaughters, Chelsey (left) and G’Niece (right), both celebrate their birthdays this month.
I was born and raised in Coosa County by a strong powerful woman of God, Beatrice Johnson. Not to brag, but it’s a fact. I was delivered by the greatest doctor of all time, Dr. William H. Goff of Rockford/Coosa County, whom everyone knows and loved.
Yes, we had a doctor in Rockford in the 40s and many other things, like a movie theater and two grocery stores, but a lot of things have changed since then, especially love, respect and education.
People have lost the love for mankind, including animals. People have gotten dumber and became dumbbells – cannot read, spell, tell time, or count – unless they find Google on the phone, and have totally forgotten respect. Young and old have no respect for each other, for the elderly especially, and no respect for teachers, preachers, leaders, etc., calling preachers by their first name, no title, no respect at all.
I was taught better than that, or should I say different? Many leaders/preachers have come up with so many unknown titles; maybe the people are confused and just call them by their first name (LOL). I have to laugh on that. Thinking of something a friend said to me once, “Ruby, some people are so dumb they make me feel dumb.”
I laughed and thought, “Wow, that does make sense.” “Birds of a feather flock together.”
You can be around uneducated people for a while, and you will feel fitted. I am not looking down on anyone, but some people need to grow up and stop drinking milk from the bottle and eat some meat from the plate.
Take advice and learn. Get out of the dark! You can’t see in the dark. You are never too old to learn. Some people think they have arrived and are still crawling, and people are stepping all over them. Get up and walk!
January 6 has been five years, and this criminal is still running loose. This country is always trying to rule and help other countries, and our country needs help and needs to be run and ruled properly, getting rid of criminals who are in charge of whatever, destroying the country.
Where are the fans? Where are the lovers of these criminals running loose and trying to be a ruler of many? Our country is dealing with a lot of uneducated fools who are in leadership.
Happy birthday to my two precious great-granddaughters, G’Niece and Chelsey, both with birthdays in January, January 6 and January 15, and they both are the female Dr. Martin Luther King, who G’Niece shares a birthday with. Happy birthday, Dr. King Jr. We can never forget you.
