Sylacauga man dies in motorcycle wreck in Coosa County

A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, has claimed the life of a Sylacauga man.

Charles E. Kelley Jr., 58, was fatally injured when the 2009 Suzuki C50K9 Boulevard motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a tree. Kelley was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Coosa County Road 29, approximately 10 miles south of Sylacauga, in Coosa County.

Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
