The Buzz
Buzzy the Buzzard
I just saw the cutest flower bed: black bark mulch with miniature gardenias. The News had a flower bed, lovingly planted by Ms. Janelle, with gladioli and roses. But the town maintenance man weed-whacked it. All I can say about that is: if he is going to do yard work on private property, he should be more careful. Or is his supervision at fault?
Lee Boys say they will open in September. Also the hardware store over the remains of the ancient hardware store (you didn’t think I was that old, didya?) plans to open in September.
Now if we could just get rid of the one-way street. I heard third or fourth hand that a senior couple was fined $154 for driving the wrong way, 100 feet or so, on a street they have known for decades.
Monday, the old home-ec building part of the old school complex was control-burned. It was good training for the local VFDs and removal of a decrepit eyesore. I do favor recycling, repurposing and reusing, but it had been offered for years with no takers.
We do need a wellness center, but there are spots available around town. I know, because I am your eye in the sky.
Love,
Buzzy
