Special to the News
Congratulations to Grayson Kelly and Jacob Stevens who won at the district level for the annual Soil and Water Conservation poster contest.
This past spring our students created posters for the Coosa County Soil and Water Conservation annual contest. This year’s theme was “Home is Where the Habitat Is.”
The posters of our local winners in the spring advanced to the district competition this summer. We are proud to announce that we had two winners, each of whom won a $50 gift card.
Grayson Kelly won in the seventh-ninth grade division, and Jacob Stevens won in the tenth-twelfth grade division.
We would like to thank Mrs. Janice Kilgore at the Conservation office for her hard work and for making this an annual opportunity for our students, as well as Coosa County Schools Science Coach Shelley Wood for coordinating the contest and providing pictures and information.
