The Pride of Coosa County band, directed by Mr. Daryl Ingram, started their two-week camp this week and will continue next week, with the Color Guard and Majorette having already completed a week of camp last week.
The Pride of Coosa County band members have been working hard preparing for the new half-time show, with this year’s theme being Shrek. The band is learning Shrek favorites such as “All-Star,” “Welcome to Dulok,” “Living La Vida Loca,” “Accidentally in Love,” “Hallelujah,” and “I’m a Believer.”
Mr. Ingram, along with band parents and the community, has also been working hard to make band camp fun. Each day has been a different dress-up theme, and parents and the community have also been pitching in to provide lunch.
A special thank you to Giovanni’s in Sylacauga for donating lunch. The band members have also enjoyed Kona Ice to keep cool during these extra hot days. The band will celebrate all their hard work with a pool party at the conclusion of camp next week.
We are looking forward to an awesome half-time show. Cougar Pride.
