Damage to my car before when a deer hit me. Thankful to have avoided a similar collision recently, thanks to a clear view because of good neighbors.
I thank God for Terry and Ran Wilson and whoever keeps Lena and Patsy Johnston’s surroundings looking good and clear of seeing deer before they jump out in front of you.
Last Monday after I complained about the roadside grass needing cutting, well I experienced the need. Coming from Rockford on County Road 18 I saw this big deer running toward my car from the Wilsons’ driveway. I stopped to let it pass. I was fearful of another one coming, but because I could see clearly I was safe, and because of the Wilsons’ job well done!
Otherwise I would have gotten hit like before for not being able to see the deer until it hit me. I thank God for protecting me then, and I thank Him for the Wilsons. Can you see the damage to my car before? God is a good God at all times, and I praise Him and I pray to Him, but we must watch, as well as pray.
However, we can’t watch behind the bushes. Let’s do our job, people. The Wilsons don’t have to clear all of that, but they care, and they are not slobs like some of us who don’t care about their well being and anybody else.
The Wilsons and Johnstons have been a blessing to me for many years, and I will never forget, even when I am old (smile) and can’t remember their names I can remember what they did for me. You might not remember what people did or said to you, but you will always remember how they made you feel, and that’s real! I praise God where blessings flow.
Someone told me that I complain like another one of the writers. I told them “good,” I have someone to help me. Everybody needs someone sometimes, and you don’t have to boycott.
The problem today is people complain and won’t take it to the other side. If a turtle doesn’t stick his head out, he won’t go to the other side or won’t go anywhere. We are stuck in our shell, complaining and not going anywhere. Speak up, get up, and do something.
Some complainers say Rockford can’t do anything, we don’t have this or that, etc. But praise God, Rockford is getting up. Let’s support Rockford. Someone will complain about that. So what! When is enough enough?
I guess you might say “Ruby is on a bad roll.” Well, you might be right. For the last two days I have had enough. However, the Holy Spirit intervened, and I was set free. If I am having a bad day, it is a personal problem the world does not have to deal with.
If I get up on the wrong side of the bed, it’s no one’s fault but mine. It’s not an excuse for being rude, cruel, or abusive to say to anyone “I am having a bad day,” simple as that. We cannot abuse others because we are facing a challenge. Life is a challenge!
If we are to grow and reach our fullest potential, we have no time to waste on bad days. Today is a new day. I refuse to get off to a bad start and lashing out at the world.
Happy birthday to all July babies.
We are praying for those children and families of Texas in Jesus’ name, amen. My heart is so heavy in pain.
“If you are having a bad day, get another one, and get it quickly!”
