Equality & NIxburg News
Jennifer Williamson
I finally did it, with help from my husband, but we finally moved the fence around the water meter so that when they come to read the water meter they don’t have to deal with our difficult gate or lots of farm birds who want to know who is entering their territory. Not that we have many left now as the predator has taken the gosling and two large ganders.
Now I have a goose walking around crying for her mate and her baby. I want to get her a companion, but I am afraid that this predator will just come back for them. I am about to add shiny things to my yard to confuse predatory birds and add either wire fencing or electric to the picket fence to keep out four-legged predators.
Jenny’s General’s new products for children have been selling well so far. Junior Adventurer items like magnifying glass, binoculars, flashlights, and mini-microscopes, as well as balsa-wood airplanes and build-a-bird kits and dancing ribbon wands, which have been the most popular. So, if you have a young one who gets bored when out of school come find a summer adventure for them.
I would love to tell you about a product that helps with live stressors as an adaptogenic all-natural alternative, but afraid that will dip into politics too much; the state would rather you help them make a profit with alcohol sales than something that will heal rather than kill. Since it is too political of a topic I will not tell you about this drink that has helped many and gotten them off of their pharmaceuticals that kept them a zombie, and I won’t be able to carry it much longer without getting a license from the state so they can make their profits through propaganda.
Once again, the EVFD butts/ribs fundraiser was a big hit. I got my ribs, and they were excellent. I can’t wait for the next fund-raising sale. I do hope you have gotten yours this time around. But you can still support the Equality Volunteer Fire Department by participating in next weekend’s First Saturday Fundraising event.
Dave Dial has the bay closest to the road set up with seating and will be cooking breakfast and lunch right out front. The rummage sale items are in the center bay and sharing the first bay with the bake sale. Starts at 8 a.m. with breakfast for a small donation, lunch starts at 11 a.m., and the bake sale is until sold out or 1 p.m., whichever comes first.
I depend upon my readers to share with me what is happening within your organizations, churches, neighborhoods, groups, or family to share in next week’s column. Please contact me; leave a voice message or text 256-531-6460 or email at coosacafe@gmail.com.
