Some of the many who were blessed with a wonderful hymn singing at Sears Chapel on Good Friday.

Hunter Goff and Ruby Johnson
Good Friday was truly a good Friday. We attended a Good Friday hymn singing presented by the greatest singer of all time, Mr. Hunter Goff and friends, held at Sears Chapel in Rockford.
People came from all over to hear this powerful man of God. When it was time for everyone to partake in the singing of the hymns, they had a choice to choose one for Hunter to play, and he did them so well, even some that he never played before. However, he is such a genius, you would have never known.
Mrs. Peggy Shone came from St. Louis to hear him. She reads “The Coosa County News” weekly. She came over to me after hearing someone call my name and asked if I was the Ruby Johnson who writes for the newspaper. She loves reading my column. Thank you, Mrs. Peggy. It blessed me to hear that.
Another blessing I received was when Hunter’s sister Pam came over to me and introduced herself to me and had said to someone, “That lady seems like she could be related to Beatrice.” (my mom). They said, “That’s her daughter.” We both laughed with joy.
My mom’s legacy lives on through me and others. Pam bragged on my mom. She remembered her from a small girl growing up. We had a moment of great fellowship during a break from singing and having some refreshments.
The entire event was a blessing to everyone. Many of them did not get on the photo; Hunter’s father and mother, Bill and Judy Goff, Lena Johnston and many, many others. I didn’t get the man’s name who played the saxophone. However, he was super. Hunter and friends gave us a show!

My 3-year-old granddaughter’s birthday was coming, and I wanted to get her a gift she loves. I asked her what was her favorite thing. She yelled, “Food!”
Happy birthday to all April babies.
Let’s continue praying for our country.
“I am the only one who can limit me.”
“The world we want begins within us.”
