The Buzz
Buzzy the Buzzard
Here’s some community news and some food for thought. Last week there was an educational forest landowner tour.
There were about 70 people attending. This number included dignitaries from the ALFA Farmers Federation, the Alabama Forestry Commission, the Alabama Forest Owners Association, and the American Forest Foundation.
A speaker highlighted the importance of the forest industry and to Coosa County in particular.
These tours have been organized by the Coosa County Forestry Planning Committee for more than 30 years. This tour was in honor of the memory of Joel Glover, a respected and loved member of the community up until his unfortunate death a year ago.
How many of our county commissioners attended this tour? Yep, zero. How many commissioners have attended any of these tours? Yep, I think zero.
I think we pay these people to be involved in our business. What do you think?
Love,
Buzzy
