Mr. Moon teaches ninth and eleventh grade English language arts. His teaching philosophy is both firmness and fairness while providing a safe place for students to express themselves. This environment enables his students to grow academically and as people who will shape the world. One of his greatest joys is watching his students grow and evolve as young adults. He finds it interesting to listen to the students interact with the books they read and the materials used in class as they develop their own opinions and feelings about the subjects discussed.
Mr. Moon is currently in his second year teaching at Central with six years of teaching under his belt. Mr. Moon added that his time at Central Coosa has been the highlight of his teaching career. He stated, “I have a deep affection for the school, and I am proud to have made Central my home these last two years.”
Mr. Moon has a special connection to Coosa County. His family has been in Kellyton since 1841, including his father and grandfather who both attended Goodwater High School. Mr. Moon looks forward to many years of teaching at Central Coosa.
