January 18
Third Saturday Trade Day in Millerville will be held at the Bibb Graves Community Center on Saturday, January 18, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Shops open inside will include furniture, glassware, jewelry, baby clothes and items, linenes, fabric, florals, Pyrex, Fireking, vintage handbags, lamps, all kinds of home décor, old signs, collectibles, and much more. Free outdoor vendor setup: no charge for outside setup for vendors, yard-sale items, arts and crafts, and swap meet items. For more info call 205-317-7798. January 27
The monthly meeting of the Coosa County Soil and Water Conservation District will be on Monday, January 27, at 10 a.m. at the District Office located at 226 Coosa County Road 157 in Hanover.
Weekly
The Goodwater Youth Development and Recreational Center is open to the public weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and practice days for the travel ball team are those same days from 5 to 6 p.m. Cheerleader practice is held on Wednesdays and Fridays. Monthly
Richville Neighborhood Watch will be held the first Thursday of each month at the fire department, 13185 Coosa County Rd. 14, Rockford, 35136. The gathering begins with a potluck meal at 6 p.m., and the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Come out and see what is happening in your community.

The Coosa County Historical Society will be opening the Old Rock Jail beginning Sunday, April 7, from 2 to 4. The jail will be open each Sunday in April, May and June except for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. It will be closed for the months of July and August, opening back up the second Sunday in September until October 13.

Monthly breakfast returns to West Coosa Senior Center! The West Coosa Senior Center in Stewartville will host breakfast on the fourth Saturday of each month from 7-10 a.m. at the center, located at 47 Coosa County Road 70, Sylacauga, 35151 (the old Stewartville School). Breakfast is $6 per plate with choice of ham, bacon, sausage, eggs, gravies, and more! Dine in or call ahead at 256-249-2024 to carry out. Donations appreciated! Breakfast will be served monthly now through October, with it not being held in November or December.
Quarterly
The Hanover Community Club and Neighborhood Watch will now hold quarterly gatherings at Andrews Chapel. These quarterly gatherings are held on the third Tuesday of March, June, September, and December at Andrews Chapel Fellowship Hall at 6 p.m. Everyone is cordially invited and encouraged to attend. Y’all come!
