The varsity boys team has two wins under its belt. On Friday, November 22, the Central of Coosa County Varsity Boys Basketball team won their game against Childersburg High School by a score of 63-54.
On Tuesday, December 3, the Central of Coosa County Varsity Boys Basketball team won their game against Dadeville High School by a score of 49-48.
It was a proper cat-fight when Central of Coosa County took on Dadeville on Tuesday. The Cougars pulled ahead with a 49-48 photo finish over the Dadeville Tigers. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.
Central of Coosa County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lacorrian Thompson out in front who went 6 for 14 en route to 16 points plus two steals. Thompson’s evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 10 points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Williams, who had eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
The victory made it two in a row for Central of Coosa County and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
