This year’s slogan for Red Ribbon Week was “Life is a Movie.” Throughout the week students watched videos in conjunction with the Cougar Broadcasting Network morning newscasts about the importance of staying drug free. Students also completed Red Ribbon Week pledge cards, vowing to grow up safe, healthy and drug free. Submitted pledge cards were entered into a random prize drawing. Six prizes were awarded, one per grade level.
Congratulations to the following winners, seventh grader Nathan Guzman, eighth grader Shataria Riggins, ninth grader Kalicia Davis, tenth grader Javarious Wilson, eleventh grader Alyssa Woodfin, and twelfth grader Jefferson Schwall. Thank you to Central High School counselor Misty Wade for organizing the Red Ribbon Week activities for our students.
