Special to the News
The Lady Cougar varsity volleyball team recognized their two senior players, as well as their student concession manager, in a ceremony during their last regular season home game this week at Joe N. Belyeu gymnasium.
Heidi Phillips has played volleyball for Central for three years as setter and was escorted by her parents, Jannah and Morris Phillips.
A’Z Sears has played volleyball for six years as a middle hitter and was joined by her mother, Latasha Belyue, and other family members.
Jacob Stevens was also honored for serving as the concession manager for three years. Jacob has logged more than 120 hours working to keep the concession running smoothly on game days, not missing a single game.
Congratulations, seniors, and thank you to the parents and families for supporting the Lady Cougar volleyball program, as well as coaches Elliott and Kimbrell for the countless hours you have devoted to our athletes.
