Seventh grader Kevin Gonzalez always works hard to get all of his work completed. He is at the top of the seventh grade in terms of math performance. He is never a behavior issue. He is kindhearted and respectful at all times. Kevin is extremely quiet, but he is also an exceptional student. Congratulations, Kevin!

Eighth grader Ayden Williams is very quiet and reserved. He is always in a great mood and positive. He is very kind and respectful. He cares about his grades and helps others in class (math) when they don’t understand a concept. Ayden enjoys playing football and being part of the football team each year. His goal is to one day become a football head coach. Ayden’s favorite part about school is learning. Congratulations, Ayden!

Ninth grader Elizabeth Clark has done a great job becoming involved at Central High School since moving here a couple of months ago. She has joined FCCLA and is serving as a chapter officer and is planning to compete in a STAR event at the beginning of March. She has worked hard to make new friends and to catch up with the coursework she missed at the beginning of the school year. Elizabeth states, “My plans for the future have been all over the place because I moved here wanting to go into law enforcement after high school, but more recently I have taken an interest in fashion and design. What I like most about our school are the other students. Since I have been here, the students that I have interacted with have been nice people. Most of them turned out to be some of the best friends I have ever had.” Congratulations, Elizabeth!

Tenth grader Analise Dansby is hard working and shows support for her classmates by encouraging them to stay on task and by helping them with hands-on projects that she can assist with. She maintains good grades while participating in sports and represents her school well when attending field trips. No matter the topic of the trip, she asks relative questions and actively listens to presenters. Analise is also a member of the Student Government Association where she is in charge of decorating students’ lockers on their birthdays. Congratulations, Analise!

Eleventh grader Tranez Marbury is a giving student. He shows leadership through his actions. Tranez is excited to play baseball for Central after not playing for a couple years and is enjoying getting reacclimated to the sport. Tranez wants to become a coder or game designer; however, if for some reason it doesn’t work out, he plans on being a voice actor. Tranez states, “The teachers at Central are nice and understanding. They make sure you are caught up with everything.” Congratulations, Tranez!

Twelfth grader Kali Snell is a great cheerleader for others, both students and staff. She expresses thanks and appreciation for the things that staff do for her and her classmates and teammates. She even cheers on other students. She was even seen during the December National ACT testing date in her Coosa colors as she was helping her peers find their correct locations for testing, encouraging them and wishing them luck on their tests. Kali is also seen at practices and games cheering her teammates, whether they are ahead or needing to come from behind. Most importantly, she is always wearing a smile that allows others to feel more at ease and able to approach her to talk. She is a proud SGA member and president of JAG. She plays volleyball and softball for Central High School. In the future, she plans to attend CACC for two years then transfer to Jacksonville State University to major in sports management and become a sports agent. Being part of sports and the friendships she has acquired are some of her favorite things about attending CHS. She states, “I am so honored to be student of the month, and I look forward to the rest of my senior year.” Congratulations, Kali!
Thank you to Ms. Belyeu for coordinating the Student of the Month program, Ms. Hughes for taking pictures and the Student Government Association for providing the Student of the Month yard signs for the students.
