The Weogufka Volunteer Fire Department held the drawing for its gun fundraiser on Saturday, December 10.
Eddie Forbus of Sylacauga won the rifle that was given away, Randall Morris of Sylacauga won the shotgun, and Paul Lowery of Moody won the $100 cash prize.
Winning tickets were drawn by 5-year-old Colton Tressillian, grandson of Weogufka Assistant Fire Chief Stephen Lowery. The drawing was recorded and posted to the fire department’s Facebook page.
The department raised more than $3,000 for the fire department with this fundraiser. The Weogufka VFD thanks each and every person for their support and appreciates everyone who purchased tickets. The money raised will be put into the department’s building fund.
