The Coosa County Cattlemen’s Association held its fall steak dinner meeting and cake auction on Friday, October 14.
During this time the 2023 officers and board members were elected. Pictured from left are Tommy Thornton, president; Andrew Gilliland; Wayne Hawkins; Mitch McDaniel; (kneeling) Robbin Nail Housch, secretary/treasurer; Bradley Rudd; Jason Hornsby; Howard Collins; and John Harris. Absent were Tad Eason, vice president, and Bill Dark.
The Cattlemen’s Association also auctioned off some delicious homemade cakes for the Buddy Gilliland Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The guest speaker was Mike Tansil with My Team Insurance Services. Tansil brought some good information about drought protection and the benefits of being able to protect our farms in time of drought.
The association had a great turn out and a delicious dinner. They are excited about their association as it grows in Coosa County. The association stated that it is looking forward to another great year.
