Pets of the Week: Diesel and Hank
There are two featured dogs this last week from the Elmore County Humane Shelter, ready for adoption and hoping for a loving family to call their own. Call for an appointment if you’d like to meet them, 334-567-3377.
The first one is Diesel, a fitting name for this 5-month-old male lab/pit mix, originally found as a stray. He is a sweet boy, and according to the volunteers at the shelter he is ALL PUPPY with lots of energy to burn, and he loves chewing most anything – so a typical lab mix pup. Diesel is a happy-go-lucky boy, just wanting a fun family that will include him in all the family travels and fun!
The second featured dog ready for adoption is Hank, a 2-year-old male lab mix and a big boy at about 80 pounds. He is a wonderful dog, great with other dogs, house trained, and LOVES people! Not good with chickens though, and he has not yet been tried with cats. If you are looking for a big loving boy, Hank could be it, and he is very handsome, too.
Be kind to your pets, and please make sure they get a warm place to bed down and get plenty of fresh water. Also, please don’t chain up a dog, which borders on being cruel.
If you are heading to Wetumpka and not looking for a new pet, try out their thrift shop, Tails End. They really have some quality stuff. You know one man’s junk is another man’s treasure. I rarely get there these days, but love to shop with them.
Yours truly,
The Dog Lover
