An Alexander City man was arrested earlier this month on two theft charges relating to an October case.
Sheriff Michael Howell reported that in October a victim filed a report with the Sheriff’s Office stating that two vehicles were stolen on Mossy Oak Lane in the Kellyton area.
Investigator Travis Ward worked the case and developed Austin Hill as a suspect. Warrants were obtained for Hill on two counts of first-degree theft of property.
Hill, 60 years old of Alexander City, was arrested on November 4 on those two charges. His total bond was set at $5,000, with a bond of $2,500 per charge.
As of press time Hill remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail in Rockford awaiting trial.
