Coosa County Forestry Planning Committee held its 2022 Forestry Landowner Tour on October 20 at Robinwald Farm, owned by Gene and Tommy Robinson.
There were 67 in attendance for this recent event. The tour consisted of four educational sessions – predator trapping by Brian Grice, brown spot needle blight in loblolly pine by Dr. Lori Eckhardt, mid-rotation release by Michelle Isenberg, and native grass by Claude Jenkins.
Those receiving awards at the event were Jimmy and Teresa Mitchell – Stewardship Award, Mike O’Brien – Stewardship Award and Tree Farm Certification Award – Tommy Robinson.
