Following his initial arrest in May, a Georgia man was recently indicted for a sexual abuse charge.
On Tuesday, 29-year-old Brandon Joseph Yott of Rossville, Georgia, was arrested by Investigator Franklin Keel on a grand jury indictment for first-degree sexual abuse.
As reported in the June 3 edition, that was the same charge Yott was initially arrested for on May 18.
It was reported that the case was investigated by investigators with the Sheriff’s Office who determined that such a crime had been committed against a minor. Warrants were obtained, and Yott and 31-year-old Christine Watson of LaFayette, Georgia, were both arrested in May in connection to the case.
At that time, Sheriff Michael Howell said that no other details could be provided regarding the case since it involved a minor under the age of 12.
Yott remains in custody at the Coosa County Jail in Rockford following his indictment and subsequent arrest.
