Marble Valley Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank everyone for an amazing turnout to our Annual Open House and Yard Sale Event that was held October 6-8.
The department states that it was another awesome success. The continued support and gratitude this community shows the department continues to be mind-blowing.
There was something for everyone with so many wonderful items being donated again this year. There was furniture of every kind, dishware, pots, pans, holiday items, exercise equipment, clothing, blankets, bedspreads, sheets, rugs, and tons of baby and children’s things. Wow! It was just unbelievable the number of community members that donated items for the yard sale.
Everyone’s generosity is instrumental in helping us to meet our yearly fundraising goal, because without you, there would be no event; thank you! We also would like to thank the Make-A-Wish foundation through the Americas Thrift Store for accepting our donation of all the items left over from the event. It is wonderful to know that we were able to pass along some of the blessings that we had received.
Attendance at the event this year was astonishing again. The department wants to tell all the shoppers that attended the event “thank you” from the bottom of our hearts. Many people not only made large purchases, but also donated. We hope you all enjoy the items you purchased, and thank you again.
Our sponsor list this year is almost unbelievable. We ask that you all support these wonderful businesses that helped us have such a successful event this year: Blue Bell, McDonald’s, A & M Clothing, American Village, Applebee’s in Chelsea, AutoZone – Childersburg, AutoZone – Sylacauga, Big Daddy’s Café, Birmingham Barons, Birmingham Zoo, Cabaniss Feed & Farm Supply, Cahaba Brewing Co., Carava Outdoors, Carden’s Gift Cottage, Carrabba’s, Chicken Salad Chick, Chick-fil-A, Coosa Pines Golf Club, Desoto Caverns (Majestic Caverns), Dollar General, El Vaquero’s Mexican Restaurant, FarmLinks at Pursell Farms, Farmers Home Furniture, GFL Environmental, Goo Goo Car Wash, Harbor Freight, Hardee’s, Heritage Freight, Home Depot, Bandit’s, Lori Darlin’s, Marble City Pharmacy & Gifts, Odie’s Delicatessen, Old Town Grille, O’Reilly Auto Parts – Sylacauga, Publix Super Markets Inc., Ruby Tuesday’s – Alex City, Sonic Drive-in, Sylacauga Country Club, Taziki’s, Tidal Wave Auto Spa, U.S. Space & Rocket Center, Vansandt Hardware Inc., Vulcan Park & Museum, and Wright’s Tire.
We also would like to thank these individuals who donated items for our event drawing: Ms. Wyatt, Ms. Fuller, Don and Debra Dupriest, and Bill and Ann Harper.
We can have events all day long, but without the help of advertising outlets no one would know about our event. With that said, we would like to take a moment and “thank” them for their help in promoting our event again this year. They are as follows: The Coosa County News paper, The Daily Home, Sylacauga Today, 280 Reporter, and the Sweet Home Alabama Vacation Guide. Without these companies we would not be able to get the word out about our event. “THANK YOU” for your help
Once again, thank you to everyone who assisted in this year’s event! You each made our Ninth Annual Open House and Yard Sale Event a fantastic success.
We thank you for your love and support, and we enjoyed meeting and visiting with every one of you. We hope to see you all again at next year’s event on October 5-7, 2023; mark your calendars.
All of the members of Marble Valley Volunteer Fire Department extend our sincerest appreciation to everyone who had a part in making this event a success.
