A Kellyton man was arrested Monday in connection to a theft in the same community.
Sheriff Michael Howell reported that his office received a call to Trailer Park Road in reference to a theft of property. Howell said the stolen property was an outside air conditioning unit that belonged to a residence there.
He explained that Investigator Ward conducted an investigation of the theft of the air conditioning unit. During that investigation he developed Gregory Dunham as a suspect.
Ultimately 49-year-old Dunham, of the Kellyton area, was arrested and charged with second-degree receiving stolen property in connection to the case of the AC unit theft.
Dunham’s bond was set at $5,000, and as of press time he remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
Anyone who observes or suspects illegal activity is encouraged to report it to the Coosa County Sheriff’s Office at 256-377-4922 or online at www.coosaso.org. Anonymous tips are also welcome.
