Davis announces candidacy for County Commission District 3

Special to the News

My name is Mr. Brandon L. Davis. I have been living in Kellyton, Alabama, for 36 years.

I am the son of Apostle Wayne and Minister Brenda Davis. I have four brothers. I graduated from Central High School Coosa County (CHSCC) in 2004, and while there I played both football and basketball. I was a part of the 2004 4A State Championship basketball team under the leadership of Coach Joe Belyeu.

After graduating from Central-Coosa, I attended Central Alabama Community College where I earned an associate’s degree in electronics technology. I transferred to Jacksonville State University and earned my bachelor’s of science degree in industrial leadership in technology and engineering.

I attend The Word Bible Church faithfully. I serve as an usher and a part of the praise team. I also work as our sound engineer.

I live by the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ, and I know that I wouldn’t be where I am without Him leading and directing my footsteps daily.

I believe in being a help to others that are in need, promoting both equity and equality for everyone, and listening to the ideas of everyone in order to bring about solutions to any problem that may be present.

I am a member of the HWY 22 East Podcast, the Coosa County Alumni Committee, and vice president of Central Coosa Quarterback Club.  I absolutely love being a part of the community that helped raise me and being an active leader in mentoring kids, whether it be sports or just life.

I have been a little league basketball and football coach for five years. Because I love Central-Coosa so much, I have worked closely with the Central football and basketball teams over the past few years, as well.

I am a leader among leaders because I have had so many strong male role models in my life. I strongly believe in motivating and backing young people in whatever aspect and extent that I can in order to assist them in setting and reaching their goals. In doing so, the kids of our present day will ultimately find their hidden and untapped potential and grow up to be successful contributing leaders and members of our future world.

I am running for Coosa County Commission District 3 because I see a dire need to actively work on improving Coosa County through various avenues.  There is a movement of greatness in Coosa County that is brewing, and I want to be an asset and play a vital role in this change to better the place I call home.

I will be a voice for the people and work hard to help Coosa County reach its full potential. I am running with honesty, integrity and transparency. I’m passionate about my community because of the love I have for the people and its promising future.

I see the potential success of Coosa County that can continue to thrive for future generations to come. So, let’s work to get to this new day I see approaching us, and we will do it together through new ways and new ideas in order to collaboratively bring changes to the community we all love so much.

Please remember to VOTE DAVIS on November 8, 2022. May God bless you all!
