Special to the News
For the second year Alabama Power Foundation has awarded a $1,000 grant to the Town of Goodwater Boys and Girls Club.
These funds will provide much needed support for safe after-school programming that provides academic assistance and mentorship.
“The Goodwater Boys and Girls Club – with the work of Sharonna Hayes – provides after-school and summertime opportunities for our young people which, in turn, will help develop responsible and productive adults,” said Steve Marlowe, community relations manager for Alabama Power Company. “This grant will provide resources needed to create an environment to help children succeed. We are excited to partner with the Town of Goodwater on this initiative.”
