4-H members earn achievements in county, regional, state 4-H activities

Coosa County 4-H is proud to announce recipients of the 2021-2022 4-H Achievement Awards.
Rookie of the Year awards were presented to Alona Shehan and Ke’Shaun Willingham for their outstanding achievements in 4-H during their first year of participation.
Alona is a member of the 4-H Afterschool Club and the Poultry Club. She participated in several 4-H projects, including 4-H Grows, and was always willing to learn something new in her 4-H activities.
Ke’Shaun is a member of the 4-H Afterschool Club and is the 4-H secretary. He is also an officer in his 4-H Club at school. Ke’Shaun was a great example to younger 4-Hers in his leadership role.
The Catchings Award is presented to a young man and a young woman in middle school to recognize their 4-H achievements. That award was presented to William “Jacobi” Bishop and Jade Williams.
William “Jacobi” is a member of 4-H in the Afterschool Club and in his seventh grade classroom. Jade has been active in 4-H poultry projects and leadership. She is a member of the 4-H Youth Council and a teen leader with the 4-H Afterschool Club.
Gary Franklin was selected to receive the 4-H Clover Award, which goes to a 4-H high school member with outstanding 4-H project work and leadership. Gary served as a teen leader for the 4-H Afterschool Club, where he led the recreational activities with the younger members. He is also a member of the 4-H Youth Council and a teen leader in the 4-H Tech Changemakers program.
Jalyrica Crayton received a 4-H Clover Award for her community service in 4-H. She and her siblings were faithful to volunteer at the 4-H Clubhouse for the fall and spring work days. Jalyrica serves with a cheerful attitude and a strong work ethic!
