Jeremy Rhodes

While incarcerated for a separate charge of buying/receiving stolen property, a Sylacauga man was arrested on an additional charge of promoting prison contraband.
Sheriff Michael Howell reported that on July 1 the Sheriff’s Office conducted a shakedown of jail cells. He stated that they found narcotics, specifically methamphetamine, inside Jeremy Rhodes’ cell.
As such Rhodes, 39 years old, was arrested on the charge of second-degree promoting prison contraband.
His bond for that charge was set at $2,500, and as of press time he was out on bond on both charges.
