A two-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 4:45 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, has claimed the life of a Sylacauga woman.
Lakeita D. Fulks, 41, was fatally injured when she was struck by the 2012 Chrysler 200, driven by Shamea L. Pearson, 24, of Goodwater.
After the initial collision, Fulks was then struck by the 2015 Toyota Tacoma pickup, driven by Hugh M. Taylor, 50, of Sylacauga. Fulks was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Goodwater Highway near Brent Brook Lane, approximately one mile south of Sylacauga city limits, in Talladega County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
