A Kellyton man was arrested Wednesday on two charges related to domestic violence.
On Wednesday, September 16, Deputy Kelley responded to the Kellyton area for a welfare check. Dispatch advised him that there was a language barrier with the complainant.
Kelley arrived on the scene and tried to make contact with the complainant. He located a Hispanic woman and three children and spoke with the complainant.
That investigation resulted in the arrest of 37-year-old Jose Belem Trejo-Robles on the charges of assault/domestic violence (strangulation) and interference with a domestic violence call.
His total bond was set at $16,500. As of press time he remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
