Blakeleigh Nicole Shone entered this world on April 13, much to the delight of proud parents, Kelsey and Jacob Shone, and grandparents, Matthew and Kayla Shone.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers, and a special one to Mrs. Kelsey Shone, who is a first time mother and a very proud one! Little Blakeleigh Nicole Shone entered this world on April 13, 2026, weighing 8 pounds and 11 ounces, 20-and-a-half inches long, and a head full of hair.
The proud parents, Kelsey and Jacob Shone, and grandparents, Matthew and Kayla Shone, are on Cloud Nine. This is their first grandchild, and Rockford Church of God is happy to have a new addition to the church family.
Gone but not forgotten are the greatest mothers that ever walked this earth; my mother, Beatrice Johnson, and my daughter, Janice Evon Johnson. Happy Mother’s Day, and to all other great mothers who have gone on and who are still here with us today.
If you have not been in Enoch’s Hardware Bait and Tackle in Rockford, you need to go and do some shopping. It has everything you need, and if not you can order it.
The store is very clean and neat, easy to find what you need, and the spirit of God is in there. You find “peace” as you shop.
I am so grateful we have a hardware store in Rockford. I bought something that I needed, and someone said they bet they did not have it, and they were wrong. I heard the owner tell someone that he has horse food now.
I advise everyone who gets the “Alabama Living” magazine to please read it. It has some great reading information you would love to know if you don’t know already.
I read them every month, and this month I loved it, especially “Being Thankful” by Gary Smith, president and CEO of Power South Energy Corporation, and “The Family Clothesline” by Joe Hobby. I learned something I did not know through scientists’ research on clothes that are dried outside and much more.
Happy birthday to all May born.
Praying for the sick and shut in, and this country and leaders.
