Union Square has a lot to be happy about, and I am going to spread it. Johnnie and Robin Schmidt of Union Square have more than an anniversary to celebrate and be happy, which is April 6 – 40 years of bonded love. I am happy to be a part of these 40 years. They are my close neighbors and very helpful neighbors of love.
I represent their 40 years. He fortieth anniversary is called “Ruby Anniversary.”
The fortieth wedding anniversary, known as the ruby anniversary, celebrates four decades of enduring love, passion and commitment. Both traditional and modern gift themes focus on rubies, symbolizing a fiery long-lasting flame.
Common celebrations include exchanging ruby jewelry, hosting parties, or giving red-themed gifts to mark this significant milestone.
Happy anniversary to you both. Thank you, Robin, for reminding me. You are much like your dad, Kenny, a great neighbor indeed.
The Schmidts are also celebrating the birth of their first grandchild. Their son Jonah and wife, Grace Schmidt, made them so happy when they told them that little Jameson (Jamey) Lane Schmidt had arrived on February 13, weighing 7 pounds, 11 ounces.
PawPaw Johnnie is usually a collected cool guy, nice but doesn’t laugh as much as Robin. However, little Jamey has put a big smile on Johnnie’s face. I saw some photos of him holding the baby and laughing like crazy. I began to laugh, too. I laughed out loud. That’s what grandbabies will do. They will make a mean person smile.
We welcome our new baby to the Square. Congratulations to Grace and Jonah. Enjoy the ride. Jamey will teach y’all.
I want to give a big shout out to all the Union Square residents/neighbors for my birthday wishes and gifts, especially Shirley Leonard and my niece Anita Patterson, who made a special trip to my house with gifts, and Nieshia Whetstone left her job early to bring me a special gift.
I thank everyone near and far, Facebook friends and family, for my birthday greetings. I was lifted. This year was truly a blessing. Praise God.
Happy birthday to nephews J.T. Hill and Little Joe Crayton.
Cody Schmidt is wished a blessed birthday from Union Square on April 8. Wishing all April babies a great birthday, including Mr. Levi Leonard Sr. on April 1.
Continue in prayer for Pastor Ray Franklin and his wife, Lady Amy Franklin.
Let’s keep our country in prayer.
Prayers and condolences go to the Shaw family in the loss of a great man, Mr. Raymond Shaw. We love you, Mrs. Sarah.
