I was excited to read about the McElraths’ transformation of the old casket factory building into “the Tracks.” They should be complimented on their vision, and I hope they will be rewarded with success.
Also, in Rockford, a building used for storage for many years now hosts two new businesses, Enoch’s and Our Daily Bread.
Buy old, refurbish and re-create, indeed. Coosa County, Rockford and Goodwater are blessed with numerous historically significant buildings. The populations were once much larger. Generations have left the area for economic opportunity. So we have a collection unlike any other.
Rather than looking the other way, or, razing a building, ask yourself or your neighbor, what could that be? I’ll be watching, love Buzzy
