Last Sunday was a “breakthrough” service at Rockford Church of God. The Holy Spirit had His way, and the presence of the Lord was seen.
In His presence you can receive what you need, just open up, and that is what the people did. Pastor Hill did not have to preach. He only obeyed, and God did the blessings.
I was truly blessed, and not just for my sake. I was blessed because others were blessed. I saw it, I felt it, and my spirit agreed. I am still chewing like a cow chews his cud.
The choir was super; however, worshiping means more than singing, and the church rocked. There is a difference in worship and praise. We were created to worship God; our spirits were designed to praise Him.
All genuine praise springs from hearts that are full of gratitude. Many people praise God by playing an instrument; others by reading or reciting scripture or by singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.
Some express their praise through liturgical dance. When we are grateful to God and with confidence, we can praise and worship Him in a mighty way. I want this to be my lifestyle, even at a time like this!
I just lost another loved one, my niece, my oldest brother’s daughter, Linda Sue Johnson-Brown. It is painful. I am hurt and sad, but I still praise God through my tears.
He gets the glory, for this is His will. Sue does not have to suffer anymore. Pray for the family.
Others to pray for: JaQuon Simmons, Bessie Leonard, Hope Johnson, Butch Hardman, Fred May, Mother Cathy Dennis, and T.D. Hill.
Happy birthday to Minister Frankie Cousin, my granddaughter Amirah Johnson, Jackie Belyeu, and to all November born.
Let us pray for abandoned animals and the abnormal people who put them out, don’t feed them and treat them terribly bad, especially dogs. It hurts me to see and hear of these things going on.
Thinking of you, Jeff Wood and family, Judge Carlton and attorney Frank Teel and families and Revenue Commissioner Debra Lamberth. I love all of you and miss seeing y’all.

My niece Linda Sue Johnson-Brown, who just passed away this week. Please keep her family in your prayers.
