Central Coosa took the win over the Horseshoe Bend Generals last Friday with a score of 38-32. This was a turnaround from the last time the Cougars matched up against the Generals, with that previous game ending with a 42-22 defeat for the Cougars.
The Cougars gained momentum when junior Javon Peterson Thomas caught a kick-off return, scoring a touchdown and narrowing the score within two points to 30-32.
Senior Corey Thompson would seal the deal when he scored the winning touchdown, running 20 yards.
Join us again at home this week as the Cougars take on Ranburne tonight. Kick-off is at 7 p.m. Fast track entrance tickets can be purchased on GoFan.co.
