Different types of highs

Union Square News

Buzzy has been flying high these last couple of weeks, and it’s a good “high,” but not that high y’all are thinking. (LOL) It’s a better high, and everyone can enjoy it.

There are many highs in the English language, and it depends on how we use them. Praising God can get you high, drinking wine can get you high, and many other things. But driving down a clear road can give you a great high, and you won’t run off the road and won’t be charged for DWI.

Thank the Coosa County Highway Department for a job well done on County roads 40, 18 and 109. We appreciate you guys. You made a lot of people high, even the deer.

You feel better when you are high on the mountaintop, safe from all harm.

Happy birthday to Thelma Hill, Lee Cousin, Tammy Goggans, Austin Dash, and to all August babies.

Let’s pray for our neighbors and everyone in the community, including Coosa County as a whole. So many tragedies are happening and with our young people.

Pray for our leaders, cruel and evil people, unsaved people, and the saved ones.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1

It is time to pray. God made the sun, moon and stars to mark the signs and seasons, the days and years (Genesis 1:15-16). Farmers in Solomon’s day relied on the movements of the sun and moon to know when to plow, when to plant and when to harvest.

Our lives move in season, as well. When we pray God makes all things beautiful in His time! Let’s pray and see the harvest.

Union Square’s Robin Schmidt seems to be enjoying life with her retirement and with husband, Johnny. Johnny and Robin are very nice people/neighbors, and we love them. Let’s keep them in our prayers for a lifetime journey.

“Forgiveness is the final form of love.” – Reinhold Niebuhr
