The Central Elementary Literacy, Math and STEM camps continue to combine learning and fun. Teachers are strengthening students’ literacy skills by utilizing the scientifically proven Phonics First, Sonday System and UFLI phonics programs.
In addition, teachers have been working hard planning lessons using differentiated instruction along with multisensory strategies to increase learning outcomes.
The theme for this year’s summer learning programs was the jungle. Attendance is so important in order for learning to take place, so the staff planned a special incentive trip to an animal drive-through safari park in Hope Hull for students who have 75% or higher attendance at the conclusion of summer camp.
Thank you to Mrs. Forbus and Mrs. Adams for sharing pictures and information.
