I have to pause my train of thought to give a shout-out to our first responders. I am so impressed with guys that rush out to remove trees from the roads following storm damage. Keep those chainsaws sharp; it is still raining like it will never stop.
Heck, I am also impressed with guys that will stand out in the rain directing traffic, keeping us safe. Saturday afternoon there were two stops on Highway 231, requiring community members to stay out in the lightning protecting other community members.
Think about it. Aren’t you glad they are willing to be out there when you need them? Keep them in mind when you see fundraisers. Keep them in mind with the elections coming up. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to seek them out and thank them personally.
