Central Elementary invited families to their annual End of Year Awards Program to celebrate their student’s achievements.
All year All A Honor Roll students received medals, and all year A/B Honor Roll students received certificates. Thank you to Aniyah Thomas, Central Elementary School counselor, for providing the attached Honor Roll lists.
Teachers presented Accelerated Reader (AR) awards, as well. Students earn AR points by reading a book and then taking a quiz. The top point earner per homeroom received a small trophy and a coupon for a free book from the Literacy Everywhere! Grant. Each homeroom also had an Honorable Mention student who received a coupon, as well.
Congratulations to the students with more than 100 points; Brigston Bullard, Karissa Crowe, Rahiem Shealey, and Devieun Stallworth; who were awarded with a pin and a Cougar bag. A special congratulations to the student with the most points in the school, Rahiem Shealey, who received a large trophy.
Thank you to Jannah Phillips, Central Elementary School media specialist, for providing information on AR awards and recipients.
iReady awards were also presented for both reading and math. iReady is a program used throughout the school year to provide students with individualized lessons and measures student proficiency. Congratulations to the students listed who received iReady medals. Thank you to Central Elementary Reading Coach Valerie Baty and Central Elementary Math Coach Jessica Adams for creating posters to celebrate our students and for providing award recipient listings.
In addition, perfect attendance students received medals, Mrs. Masters awarded the Robotics team, and Mr. Ingram awarded the CES band members.
Congratulations to all our students on your achievements. Thank you to Breezy Johnson for sharing pictures of the CES Awards Program.
