The Buzz
Buzzy the Buzzard
After squawking about community journalism for a few months, I ran out of air. I coasted a few weeks. And while I was gone I saw one of my all-time favorite bumper stickers. In small, plain print, it asked, “Do you follow Jesus this closely?”
Now tailgating is one of my pet peeves. I have seen a sign that reads, “Don’t pet my peeves.” And I realized that I could share a lot about pet peeves.
There is a theme to my pet peeves. Generally, they are about unthinking behavior that affects others adversely. Like litter – nobody wants to pick up after you. Or not spaying and neutering your pets – nobody wants to take responsibility for unwanted animals. Or dumping animals on the roadside – how can you be so heartless?
What makes me peevish about these behaviors is that they occur over and over with no thought and no solution. We live in a community and have to act responsibly, folks.
What do you think? I look forward to hearing from you.
Love,
Buzzy
