Central Coosa SkillsUSA students recently attended the Alabama SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference and SkillsUSA championships at the Mobile Convention Center.
Congratulations to Kirby Clark who won gold in the SkillsUSA Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair competition.
In addition, the Career Pathway Showcase team of Mallorie Feltman, JJ Brimer and Eli Thornton were awarded a silver medal for their presentation and display of the various activities the Central Coosa SkillsUSA Chapter has been working on throughout the year.
AZ Sears, Ruby Burks and Chelsea Clark won bronze in the American Spirit competition for their presentation on how the Central Coosa SkillsUSA Chapter promotes patriotism, community service and career tech education.
In addition, Ruby Burks was elected to the SkillsUSA State Officer Team for the 2025-2026 school year after beating out seven other contestants. Ruby attended an additional training program on the weekend to prepare for her new role.
Congratulations to all our SkillsUSA students, and a special thank you to Central Coosa’s SkillsUSA sponsor, Jarrod Washington, for leading our students to success.
