Central High School Coosa County celebrated a 36-year tradition this past Saturday with its Miss Centroid pageant.
Congratulations to our Jr. Miss contestants, pictured from left, Jr. Miss Photogenic, A’maiya Jackson; Jr. Miss Congeniality, Nevaeh Smith; Jr. Miss Centroid 2025, Kalicia Davis; Jr. Miss Photogenic, Anna Grace Trussell; and Jr. Miss Centroid Runner-Up and People’s Choice, Chloe Sizemore. Thank you to Miss Centroid 2024, Eden Nicholson, who served as the co-host, as well as our former Miss Centroids who served as judges, Miss Centroid 2000, Chemese Leverette Lynch; Miss Centroid 2012, Selena McEwen Wood; and Miss Centroid 2016, Baylee Meadows McDonald.
The Miss Centroid pageant is a fundraiser for the Student Government Association. The money raised will enable SGA to fund the third- and fourth nine-weeks Academic Celebrations, as well as purchase dessert and coffee for the Athletic Banquet.
Thank you to SGA student pageant coordinator Samaria Owens who volunteered almost 50 hours working on pageant preparations. Thank you, also, to the SGA members who worked the pageant, Kyle Ballard, Zy Edwards, Harper Elliott, Destini Kelley, Kimberly Parris, and Danisha Webster.
