ADOC LESD executes search warrant in narcotics case

On Thursday, February 27, the Alabama Department of Corrections Law Enforcement Services Division Narcotics and K-9 units executed a search warrant at the home of Frances Theresa Linares in Huntsville.
She is suspected of sending contraband into ADOC facilities.
The search resulted in the discovery of a home lab used to manufacture synthetic cathinones and the following items:
- Approximately 264 grams of marijuana – Approximate street value: $5,280
- Approximately 196 grams of THC wax – Approximate street value: $19,200
- Approximately 54 grams of fentanyl pills – Approximate street value: $10,800
- Approximately 368 grams of synthetic cathinones – Approximate street value: $18,400
- Two firearms
- Assorted material used to manufacture synthetic cathinones.
Linares, 37 years old, was arrested and transported to the Madison County Jail where she was charged with first-degree trafficking and manufacturing.
This LESD investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be pending.
