Seventh grader Jenni Yates is the daughter of Justine and Chris Clark. Jenni enjoys reading, especially graphic novels, as well as drawing and being creative with clay. In class, she is always eager to participate and has such a positive attitude. She is respectful and kind, as well. Jenni was a Coosa Upward cheerleader in elementary school and is now a varsity cheerleader at Central High. She also enjoys helping others. When she graduates, Jenni is thinking of becoming a therapist for children. Her goal in life is to help as many people as she can. Congratulations, Jenni!

Eighth grader Chandler Hand is the son of Jennifer Hicks. He resides in Kellyton. His favorite subject is history. Chandler says, “The teacher is fun to be around.” Mr. Harmon, the history teacher, says that Chandler is never disruptive, always participates and loves his bad jokes! Chandler is also very caring and mature. One day he plans on attending culinary school and becoming a chef. Congratulations, Chandler!

Ninth grader Grayson Kelly is the son of Mike and Anah Kelly. They reside in Kellyton. Grayson’s favorite subjects are math, science and business software applications. Grayson does very well in math, loves doing experiments in science, and BSA has helped him with his career choice. His teachers say that he is always on time, helps others with understanding their assignments and always completes his assignments. Grayson plays Central football and is a member of the Master Builders Robotics teams. His future plans include attending college to become a software engineer. Congratulations, Grayson!

Tenth grader Aerial Green is the daughter of Tiffany Lee. She resides in the Rockford community. Aerial’s favorite subject is English because she loves writing and reading. Aerial is a Central High School cheerleader and a member of our Student Government Association. She is also a member of FBLA, the Key Club and our Beta Club. Her teachers state that she is always on time, helpful and hardworking. After high school she plans to attend the University of Alabama and major in forensic psychology. Congratulations, Aerial!

Eleventh grader Meori Smith is the daughter of Latesha Kelley. She is a resident of the Goodwater community and attends Paradise Mission church. Meori’s favorite subject is math because it teaches you small life lessons. For instance, she adamantly believes that just because something is difficult it does not mean you should quit it. Her teachers say she is always punctual, does whatever is asked of her, is respectful, positive, and an asset at CHS. Meori’s extracurricular activities include cheer co-captain, volleyball, basketball, Beta Club, Student Government Association, and Key Club. Her favorite quote is by Marilyn Monroe, “I don’t stop when I’m tired. I stop when I’m done.” Congratulations, Meori!

Twelfth grader Dylan Calhoun resides in Goodwater and is the son of his proud parents Donna and Edward Calhoun. Dylan attends Hatchett Springs Worship Center. Dylan is very helpful and positive. He is a leader at school. His favorite subject is science because he loves hands-on experiences and learning about human anatomy. Dylan is part of the Central High School football and baseball teams. He hopes to play football in college while earning a degree in business or secondary education. Dylan adds that he loves his family, and his journey into adulthood is right around the corner! Congratulations to a model senior, Dylan Calhoun!
