Union Square News
Ruby Johnson
It seems that nothing else is going on in my community to write about, but death and unpopular/unreal politics, and that is off limits for me. However, one thing that I know that death is real, and stories of this sweet lady of Union Square, Mrs. Pat Windsor, who left us to be with God in Glory Land.
This land was a little too hard for her to continue, with all the sorrows and tribulations here in this land where so many people, especially leaders, are not praying as Pat did; doing evil things and saying evil things about people, as Pat did not; and unforgiveness in their hearts, where Pat had room in her heart for all!
Second Chronicles 7:14 reads, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humbles themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Pat is spending the rest of her life with the Lord in a healed land. She was a humble and praying lady who loved everybody, and everybody loved her. I talked to Pat a lot, and not once did I hear her complain or speak evil of anyone.
She was truly a woman of God. Union Square will miss her like crazy, and not only Union Square, but Coosa County period!
Another great humble person, my nephew Adolphus Leonard, who we grew up together, and I never heard him speak evil of anyone. He would give you his heart if he could have removed it. He was a great cook and made the best cornbread, better than my niece (deceased) Joyce. I told her that before she passed, and she knew it. When I wanted real cornbread, not Jiffy, I would go to their house.
His home-going was nice and easy like him. His cousin Minister Tony Leonard did a great job preaching the eulogy. His subject was “There is Life After Death.” Well done, Minister Leonard.
Happy birthday, September babies.
Prayer list: This country indeed, for all schools and churches, and pray for people to get real and stop playing with God!
“Wake up, people; you can sleep when you are dead.”
