Congratulations to Justine Clark for being chosen as the Teacher of the Month. This is Mrs. Clark’s third year working at Central High School (CHS) as a paraprofessional overseeing students in seventh through twelfth grades on their intervention and Edgenuity coursework. Mrs. Clark has also been a Central Coosa Cougar mom for 10 years, having two children of her own who attend CHS.
While working with the students on their education, Mrs. Clark is also working on a degree. She is in her junior year working to earn her bachelor’s degree in psychology. Mrs. Clark plans to continue her education to earn a master’s degree in mental health clinical counseling. Her goal when it comes to her kids, she added, “The students, yes, they are my kids,” is being a safe place for them.
She said, “I want to help guide them on the right path of life because I believe our goal is to make our children better than us.”
When asked what she loves most about working at CHS she said, “The students, and I also love my coworkers, as well.”
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mrs. Clark is also the prom sponsor and also proudly announces our Pride of Coosa County Marching Band at every football game. Outside of school Mrs. Clark has coached a Coosa Upward youth sports cheer squad for basketball and football seasons. Congratulations, Mrs. Clark.
