Jerry Lester Bullard
Funeral service for Mr. Jerry Lester Bullard, 85, of Rockford will be Friday, October 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church. Rev. Matthew Reams will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 30, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church.
Mr. Bullard, greatly loved and respected by his family and friends, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Born August 24, 1941, in Coosa County to Bessie (Hughes) and W.L. Bullard, Jerry was the only brother between two sisters. He was a graduate of Coosa County High School and retired from the local phone company after over 36 years of service. Jerry loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Over the years, Jerry collected and repaired antique clocks, drove and worked on his Model A Ford, fished, hobby cattle farmed, and supported Alabama football. He will be greatly missed, but we know one day we will see him again in Heaven.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie and W.L. Bullard; and his only son, Jerry Keith Bullard.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Elizabeth Bullard, who stood by his side caring for him each and every day of their marriage. Survivors also include daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Kel Boulware, and their children, Russell Boulware and Perry Boulware; daughter and son-in-law, Kara and Jamie Forbus, and their children, Alyssa and Wendall Wood, Hayden Forbus, Aubrey and Ryan Reddish, and Paige Forbus; daughter-in-law, Lori Bullard, and her children, Whitney and Richard Long, Jarrod and Kelly Bullard, and Kendall and Jarvis Belyeu. Jerry was blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Briggs and Wesley Kate Bullard, Landon and Bryleigh Wood, Ellis and Kohen Belyeu, and Landry Long. He, too, is survived by sisters Laurette and William Cowart and Amy and Tim Grimes.
The family wants to thank Enhabit Hospice for their care and attention shown during their time of need.
Pallbearers will be Jarrod Bullard, Russell Boulware, Richard Long, Hayden Forbus, Wendall Wood, and Jarvis Belyeu.
