The members of the Marble Valley Volunteer Fire Department in Coosa County extends its sincerest appreciation to everyone who had a part in making its annual yard sale such a success earlier this month.
The department thanks its community and everyone who supported its 13th Annual Open House and Yard Sale that was held October 1-3.
In a letter from the department, fire department members stated, “It was truly another awesome success! The continued support and gratitude this community shows continues to be mind-blowing!”
As in previous years, there was something for everyone at the yard sale with so many wonderful items being donated again this year. There was furniture of every kind, dishware, pots, pans, holiday items, exercise equipment, clothing, blankets, bedspreads, sheets, rugs, and numerous baby’s and children’s items.
Marble Valley VFD expressed that it was “unbelievable” the number of community members who donated items for the yard sale.
Department members stated, “Your generosity is instrumental in helping us to meet our yearly fundraising goal, because without you, there would be no event – thank you!”
The VFD also thanks the Make-a-Wish Foundation through America’s Thrift Store for accepting the department’s donation of all the items leftover from the department’s event. The department stated that it was wonderful to know that they were able to pass along some of the blessings that they had received.
Attendance at this year’s event was astonishing again. Marble Valley VFD tells all the shoppers that attended the event “thank you” from the bottom of their hearts. Many individuals not only made large purchases, but also donated.
The VFD hopes everyone enjoys the items they purchased and thanks everyone once again for supporting their fundraising effort.
Additionally, Marble Valley VFD thanks its “amazing” sponsors for their generosity and asks everyone to support the wonderful businesses who really helped the department have a successful event this year. Event sponsors were Blue Bell, GFL Environmental and IKO Southeast, all of whom the department thanks from the bottom of its heart.
Fire department members added, “We can have events all day long, but without the help of advertising outlets no one would know about our event. With that said, we would like to take a moment and ‘thank’ them for their help in promoting our event again this year. They are as follows: ‘The Coosa County News,’ ‘The Daily Home’ and ‘Sylacauga Today.’ Without these companies we would not be able to get the word out about our event. Thank you for your help!”
The department again thanks everyone who assisted and shopped at this year’s event, crediting each individual with helping make the 13th Annual Open House and Yard Sale a fantastic success.
“We thank you for your love and support, and we enjoyed meeting and visiting every one of you,” the department stated in its letter.
